Horseback Riding Lessons
Our horseback riding program is open to anyone who wants to learn to ride! From children to adults, and any age in between, our program will teach the basics of care, grooming, and preparing your mount for riding, as well as everything you need to know to safely enjoy a ride in an arena or on the trail. Beyond basic riding we offer lessons for those who already have a foundation with horses. These lessons are geared toward honing specific skills for competition and vary from ground work for Halter + Showmanship, English + Western Pleasure/Horsemanship/Equitation, as well as Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, and Trail class work. These lessons are offered to those with their own horses. Our arena is also open for rental to approved riders!
Half hour lessons are great for getting comfortable on horseback and for teaching the basics of balancing and steering a horse! Shorter sessions are ideal for younger children if an hour lesson would be too long. They can be non-riding and teach general care and grooming of horses if desired.
Perfect for mature students wanting to learn more advanced riding skills. Such as communicating a change of gait, refining directional control, and proper position and cues while riding . Students will also learn basic care, grooming, and how to tack/untack for their lesson. Longer lessons are recommended for those wanting to work on developing skills for competition.
